PLAS-FIT UK MODERN DAY SLAVERY POLICY

1. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to demonstrate Plas-Fit UK’s commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all its forms within our business operations and supply chains. This policy outlines our approach to ensuring that we operate ethically and transparently, and comply with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

 

2. Scope
This policy applies to all employees, officers, directors, contractors, suppliers, and associated partners of Plas-Fit UK.

 

3. Definitions
• Modern Slavery: Encompasses slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, and human trafficking.
• Human Trafficking: The recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring, or receipt of persons by improper means for an improper purpose including forced labour or sexual exploitation.

 

4. Policy Statement
Plas-Fit UK has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. We will implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our business or in any of our supply chains.

 

5. Responsibilities
• Board of Directors: Ensure the implementation of this policy and review its effectiveness.
• Management: Promote awareness of the policy and ensure compliance within their departments.
• Employees: Adhere to the policy and report any concerns regarding modern slavery.
• Compliance Officer: Oversee the implementation and enforcement of the policy, conduct risk assessments, and provide training.

 

6. Due Diligence Processes
• Supplier Vetting: Conduct thorough due diligence on suppliers and contractors to ensure they comply with our anti-slavery standards.
• Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risk areas in our business operations and supply chains.
• Audits: Regularly audit and monitor suppliers to ensure compliance with anti-slavery policies.

 

7. Training and Awareness
• Employee Training: Provide training to all employees on the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking and how to report concerns.
• Supplier Training: Encourage suppliers to provide training to their employees on modern slavery risks.

 

8. Reporting Mechanisms
• Whistleblowing: Implement a secure and confidential whistleblowing mechanism for employees and suppliers to report any concerns related to modern slavery.
• Response Procedures: Ensure all reports are investigated promptly and thoroughly by the Compliance Officer.

 

9. Risk Management
• Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate the risks of modern slavery in our operations and supply chains.
• Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and update risk management practices to address emerging risks.

 

10. Monitoring and Review
• Regular Reviews: Conduct regular reviews of the effectiveness of our modern slavery policies and procedures.
• Reporting: The Compliance Officer will report on the implementation and effectiveness of this policy to the Board of Directors annually.
• Improvements: Implement improvements based on findings from reviews and audits.

 

11. Compliance and Enforcement
• Zero Tolerance: Plas-Fit UK has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and will take appropriate action against employees, suppliers, or contractors found to be in violation of this policy.
• Contractual Obligations: Include anti-slavery provisions in all contracts with suppliers and contractors.

 

12. Communication of Policy
• Policy Distribution: This policy will be distributed to all employees and made available on the company’s intranet.
• Public Disclosure: Publish the policy on the company website and include a statement in the annual report detailing our efforts to prevent modern slavery.

 

13. Approval and Revision

This Modern Slavery Policy is approved by the Board of Directors of Plas-Fit UK and is subject to periodic review and revision as necessary.
