Objective:

Responsibilities:

 

The Directors will:
* Promote and enforce the Equal Opportunity and Diversity Policy.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
* Provide training and resources to support equality and diversity initiatives.
* Monitor and review employment practices to identify and eliminate barriers to equality.

 

Employees:
* Understand and comply with the Equal Opportunity and Diversity Policy.
* Treat colleagues, job applicants, and third parties with respect and dignity.
* Report any incidents of discrimination, harassment, or victimisation to the Managing Director.
* Participate in training and development opportunities related to equality and diversity.

 

Procedures:

 

1. Recruitment and Selection:
* Ensure all job advertisements, descriptions, and selection criteria are non-discriminatory.
* Use objective and fair criteria for assessing candidates.
* Encourage applications from diverse candidates and provide reasonable adjustments for applicants with disabilities.

 

2. Training and Development:
* Provide equal access to training and development opportunities for all employees.
* Encourage continuous learning and career progression.
* Support initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

 

3. Work Environment:
* Foster a culture of respect and inclusion where diversity is valued.

4. Handling Complaints:

Discrimination, Harassment, and Victimisation:
• Discrimination: Treating someone less favourably because of a protected characteristic, such as age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.

• Harassment: Unwanted conduct related to a protected characteristic that violates someone’s dignity or creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating, or offensive environment.

• Victimisation: Treating someone unfavourably because they have made or supported a complaint about discrimination or harassment.

 

Review:

This policy will be reviewed annually or as necessary to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.

 

This Policy is communicated to all employees and integrated it into our training programs.
