PLAS-FIT UK ANTI-HARASSMENT AND BULLYING POLICY

Objective: To provide a safe and respectful work environment for all employees, free from harassment and bullying. This policy outlines Plas-Fit UK’s commitment to preventing and addressing harassment and bullying in the workplace.

 

Scope: This policy applies to all employees, contractors, suppliers, and any third parties interacting with Plas-Fit UK.

 

Policy Statement:

• Zero Tolerance: Plas-Fit UK has a zero-tolerance approach to harassment and bullying. Any form of harassment or bullying will not be tolerated and will be addressed promptly and effectively.

• Respect and Dignity: All employees are entitled to work in an environment where they are treated with respect and dignity. Plas-Fit UK is committed to promoting a culture of mutual respect.

 

Definitions:
• Harassment: Unwanted conduct related to a protected characteristic (such as age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation) that has the purpose or effect of violating a person’s dignity or creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating, or offensive environment.

• Bullying: Offensive, intimidating, malicious, or insulting behaviour that involves an abuse or misuse of power through means that undermine, humiliate, or injure the recipient.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Plas-Fit UK Management will:
* Promote and enforce the Anti-Harassment and Bullying Policy.
* Ensure all employees are aware of their rights and responsibilities under this policy.
* Provide training and resources to prevent harassment and bullying.
* Investigate and address all complaints of harassment and bullying promptly and fairly.

 

Employees:
* Understand and comply with the Anti-Harassment and Bullying Policy.
* Treat colleagues, clients, and third parties with respect and dignity.
* Report any incidents of harassment or bullying to the HR department.
* Support colleagues who are being harassed or bullied by encouraging them to report it.

 

Procedures:

 

1. Reporting Harassment or Bullying:
* Employees who experience or witness harassment or bullying should immediately report it to their manager.

* Reports can be made verbally or in writing and will be treated confidentially.

 

2. Investigation Process:
* All reports of harassment or bullying will be investigated promptly and impartially.
* The investigation will involve interviews with the complainant, the alleged perpetrator, and any witnesses.
* Both parties will be kept informed of the progress and outcome of the investigation.

 

3. Confidentiality:
* All information related to a complaint will be treated confidentially and shared only on a need-to-know basis.
* Retaliation against individuals who report harassment or bullying will not be tolerated.

 

4. Outcomes and Disciplinary Action:
* If the investigation finds that harassment or bullying has occurred, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken, which may include termination of employment.
* Support and counselling will be offered to the affected individuals.

 

5. Support for Employees:
* Employees who have experienced harassment or bullying will be offered support, which may include counselling services.
* Plas-Fit UK will take steps to ensure the affected employee’s work environment is safe and respectful.

 

6. Training and Awareness:
* Regular training will be provided to all employees on recognising, preventing, and addressing harassment and bullying.
* Awareness campaigns will be conducted to promote a culture of respect and dignity.

 

Policy Reviews:

This policy will be reviewed annually or as necessary to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with relevant laws and best practices.

 

Regular reviews, training, and clear procedures for reporting and addressing incidents help maintain its effectiveness.

 

This Policy is communicated to all employees and integrated it into our regular training programs.
